A man who thought his lampshade was a hat contains ten photographs which are mainly about a young man who behaves weirdly in the apartment.

He never faces the camera and tries to put himself in the wardrobe and washing machine, and washes his feet with a faucet which has no water. He opens an umbrella in the room, and even wears a quilt and pretends to hold a lightsaber, and pretends that the lampshade is a hat.

There are too many things to express about the city where there are the concepts of environment, space and time, our communities and memory. But with these photos, I incline to explore the connections between “self” and “society”, and explore the boundaries of urban culture. Also, these photos can make people notice the conflicts that are more deeply connected with the distortions that can better demonstrate the real forms of objects as well as revealing.
